 Ask and You Shall Receive

November 7th, 2025.

“Ye have not, because ye ask not.” — James 4:2 (KJV)

Healing often begins with a simple act: asking. James 4:2 is direct — “Ye have not, because ye ask not.” God is generous, willing, and able to heal. But if we don’t ask, we may not receive. Prayer is not just communication — it’s activation. It opens the door for heaven to intervene.

James 5:14-15 gives us a clear protocol: “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders… and the prayer of faith shall save the sick.” Healing flows through prayer. But many believers hesitate to ask. Pride, fear, or unbelief keep them silent. And silence delays healing.

Mark 11:25-26 adds another layer: unforgiveness. Jesus teaches that when we stand praying, we must forgive. If we hold grudges, our prayers are hindered. Healing requires a clean heart. Forgiveness is not optional — it’s essential.

Matthew 9:29 reminds us, “According to your faith be it unto you.” Faith activates healing. Doubt delays it. James 1:6-8 warns that the double-minded receive nothing. Healing demands focus, faith, and forgiveness.

Sometimes we think God will heal us automatically. But Scripture shows that asking matters. Jesus often asked, “What do you want Me to do for you?” He wanted people to verbalize their need. Asking is an act of faith. It says, “I believe You can, and I trust You will.”

So today, ask boldly. Ask specifically. Ask persistently. Don’t let pride or fear keep you silent. Don’t let offense block your breakthrough. Forgive. Believe. Ask. And receive.

Healing is waiting — but it responds to faith-filled prayer. Open your mouth. Lift your voice. Heaven is listening.

 Prayer

Lord, I ask for healing today — boldly and with faith. I release every offense and forgive those who’ve hurt me. Let nothing hinder my prayers. I receive Your healing now. Amen.

Reflection Question

Is there anyone you need to forgive so your prayers for healing can be unhindered? Have you asked God specifically for what you need?
