Faith That Reveals God’s Glory

November 14th, 2025.

John 11:40 (NIV) – “Then Jesus said, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?’”

Faith is the gateway to divine manifestation. It is not just a spiritual concept—it is the condition for experiencing the supernatural.

Faith is what God responds to. It’s not our eloquence, our effort, or even our desperation—it’s our belief. In John 11, Jesus arrives at the tomb of Lazarus, four days after his death. Martha, grieving and confused, says, “If you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Jesus replies, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

This moment is pivotal. Jesus doesn’t say, “If you cry enough,” or “If you fast enough.” He says, “If you believe.” Faith is the prerequisite for glory.

Throughout this devotional series, we’ve explored four expressions of faith: approaching God, speaking faith-filled words, taking faith-driven action, and obeying divine instructions. Each of these is a pathway to the glory of God. But they all hinge on one thing—belief.

Faith is not passive. It is active trust in the character and power of God. It says, “Even now, I believe.” That’s what Martha eventually declared (John 11:22). And that belief opened the door for a miracle.

In Hebrews 11:1, we’re told that “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Faith sees beyond the natural. It looks past the tomb and sees resurrection. It looks past delay and sees divine timing.

When you believe, you position yourself to see God’s glory—not just in theory, but in reality. You see healing, provision, restoration, and transformation. You see God move in ways that defy logic and exceed expectation.

But belief must be sustained. It must endure through disappointment, delay, and difficulty. The glory of God is not revealed to the casual observer—it is revealed to the persistent believer.

So today, renew your faith. Reignite your belief. Remind yourself of who God is and what He has promised. Declare, like Paul in 2 Timothy 1:12, “I know whom I have believed.” And let that belief move you to approach, speak, act, and obey.

Because when you believe, you will see the glory of God.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the promise that if I believe, I will see Your glory. Strengthen my faith today. Help me to trust You beyond what I see. Let my belief unlock miracles, and let my life be a testimony of Your power. I choose to believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Question

Where do you need to renew your belief today so that you can see the glory of God?
